By visiting or using our platform or subscribing to or using our services, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as set out in this policy. If you do not consent to any of the terms of this policy, please do not provide any personal information to us or use our platform or services.
You can browse this platform and access some of the information on the platform anonymously (although our cookies may identify your IP address and record usage information). Due to the nature of our services, most of our services will necessarily require you to identify yourself. If you identify yourself to us, at that point we will collect your personal information. If you choose not to identify yourself or not to supply the personal information we request, we may not be able to supply the services you request.
At all times we try to only collect the minimum amount of information we need to provide you with information you have requested, market our services or provide our services.

Depending on the services you request, we may indirectly collect information about you. For example, we may collect information about you from your referrals, employer or past employer (if you have supplied these details to us for this use), tenancy databases, credit checks, criminal history check (if we have told you we are doing this), government departments to cross match identification numbers, government departments to cross match property ownership details, other tenants applying under a joint tenancy application and social media platforms.
If you provide us information about another person, please make sure you have their prior consent, obtain their consent for the use of the information and let them know about this policy (for example, by sending them the link).
We may provide links to other websites, blogs or forums or use social networking services including Twitter and Facebook or provide community notice boards or comments sections on our platform (collectively called ‘public access areas’). When you communicate with us using public access areas, we may collect your personal information. Any information you make available, including your personal information, will be available for public viewing. Even after you terminate your account with us, information you have posted on public access areas may still be viewable. By using public access areas, you agree your use is at your own risk and that we are not responsible for any information that you disclose or communicate or the consequences of that disclosure. For your own safety, we strongly recommend you never disclose personal information on public access areas.
Unless we have your specific consent to do so, we do not actively collect sensitive information about you. Sensitive information is information about your health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or criminal history. We will take steps to appropriately protect any sensitive information we do receive.
Our platform is not designed for, or intended to be used by, persons under the age of 18. If you are a visitor to our platform and you are under the age of 18, we request that you do not use our platform, do not comment in any of the public access areas and do not provide your personal information. If we unintentionally collect information about a person under the age of 18 and become aware the person is a minor, we will take steps to delete that data where possible.
If you provide us with a testimonial, feedback or review, you give us your consent for the use of your name, image (if supplied for this purpose) and the date to be displayed on our platform or in our other marketing material, together with the content of the information that you provide. You agree we may use this information for as long as it remains relevant to our business. You also agree that we may edit your testimonial, feedback or review provided we do not change the intention of what you said (sometimes the awesome feedback we receive is too long and we only include parts of it).
If you apply to be an employee or are an employee, we will collect and store information about you that we consider to be relevant to your application or your employment. Your information will be stored on your personal file, which will be added to during the course of your employment and will include personal and non-personal information, sensitive information, information you have directly supplied as well as indirect information we have collected. You authorise us to contact any referees nominated by you for the purpose of collecting information about you. We may collect information that we do not currently need if we form the reasonable belief that we may need the information in the future.
Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. Some platform features may not function properly without cookies.
Your personal information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. When we no longer require your personal information for the reason you supplied it (or a longer period if we are required by law to keep it for longer), we will take reasonable steps to securely destroy it or de-identify it. While we take reasonable care, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.
We use appropriate password protection for our systems, maintain security to reasonable industry standards for our platform and secure hard copy data in an area with restricted staff access. We will not have any liability to you for unauthorised access or corruption of your personal data.
As an overview, the information that we collect about you is used for the purpose it was provided, keeping you up to date with our products and providing our services.
We may give access to the information we hold to appropriate and competent advisors or authorities for the purpose of obtaining advice, completing audits or to our trusted third-party service providers. For example, to have IT maintenance on our systems completed. We may also, in connection with the sale, transfer or merger of our platform, transfer your personal information to the buyer of the platform.

This platform is managed in Australia in accordance with Australian Laws. If you live in a country with laws that do not allow the use of this platform, please do not use our platform.
Our services are not currently available to EU residents If you are a resident of the EU, our platform is not designed for your use, please do not provide us with your personal information. We advise that our privacy systems are not GDPR compliant and we request that you do not use our services.
You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, which will only be provided electronically. You have the ability to make a request to amend or correct that information. If we do not agree with your requested change (for example if you request is unlawful or may detrimentally affect others), we will let you know and will keep a copy of your request and our reply with our information.
